Dome I
A prototype for integrating crochet with metal, Dome 1 became a joyful collaboration. My wife used yarn scraps in various colors and textures, initially without a theme. As the work progressed, it evolved into a terrarium ecosystem. A purple sunrise appears on one half, a warm sunset on the other, with lush greenery in between, nourished by a central water feature. It invites the viewer to imagine themselves as a tiny creature entering through a cave and gazing up into a vibrant world.

Dome II
This dome was a challenge in monochrome. My wife used a pale pink shimmer yarn she loves, starting with a rose at the base. After realizing how time-intensive the flower was, she pivoted. The dome became another atmospheric ecosystem, this time with celestial elements including a sun, moon, and cloud in the sky, and a small human-made structure opposite the rose that grounds the piece.
